About

Alongside our general infrastructure sustainability expertise, Edge also has vast experience in relation to modern slavery and human rights. Our projects range from analysing modern slavery risks for individual construction projects, through to helping entire organisations and sectors respond to the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act.

Within the IS framework, we offer a range of modern slavery and supply chain risk assessment services. This includes assessing supply chain risks and opportunities, and ensuring policies and procedures with IS requirements meet the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2018. Our expertise draws on a wide array of previous projects, allowing us to deliver a high quality, cost-effective service.

Sustainability Outcomes

Modern slavery affects millions of people around the world. In response several jurisdictions, including Australia, have introduced legislation that requires companies to assess and address modern slavery risks within their businesses. These regulations cover many infrastructure businesses, with impacts that filter down through to individual projects. As such, having appropriate policies and procedures in place can be expected to deliver valuable social outcomes while also underpinning compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018.

Our modern slavery and human rights services are intended to support clients targeting credits within the Sustainable Procurement category within ISv2.0 Spr-1, including the completion of related credit summary forms. The Sustainable Procurement category can also be targeted as an Innovation Challenge in ISv1.2. For more information on what Innovation Challenges can offer your project, please visit the ISCA website.
