About

Edge offers services within Natural Hazard and Climate Risk Assessment. Our projects range from climate change risk assessments in support of individual infrastructure projects, through to climate change policy development and climate risk communication advisory services, assisting Governments and councils to make informed decisions on the physical impacts of a climate-changed future. Our team has also pioneered the development of strategic adaptation plans through the Adaptation Pathways approach referenced in the IS Technical Manual v1.2 and 2.0. This approach has been developed by Edge Director, Dr. Mark Siebentritt.

Within the IS framework, we offer a range of Climate Change advisory services. This includes the development of project-specific climate risk and adaptation plans aligned with the relevant Australian Standards (AS 5334:2013 and ISO 31000:2018), and consultation events with key stakeholders to identify possible climate risks. Our assessments draw on a wide array of previous projects across many industries, including property, rail, roads, agriculture, and the public sector, allowing us to deliver a high quality, cost-effective service.

Sustainability Outcomes

Integrating a comprehensive climate change and natural hazards risk assessment into the decision making process during planning and design can see a more robust and resilient infrastructure project realised. As such, we want to engage with our clients and help them understand the projected climate future and its impacts on project assets and communities, to ensure a more resilient future.

Our Climate Change advisory services are intended to support clients targeting ISv2.0 Res-2 and ISv1.2 Cli-1 and Cli-2, including the completion of related credit summary forms.
