About

Xypex Megamix I is a high-performance remediation solution for delivering sustainable repairs to existing concrete structures. Xypex Megamix I can be used as a thin parge coat for the waterproofing or protection of concrete surfaces and joints, for patching or resurfacing deteriorated concrete, as a secondary or cap coat for Xypex Concentrate applications or as an architectural render. It is enhanced by Xypex’s unique crystalline technology that can assist clients meet project sustainability targets for the remediation of concrete infrastructure. It is mixed with Xycrylic Admix to produce enhanced bond and can be applied by brush, trowel or spray. Xypex’s primary performance feature is its ability to generate a permanent, non-soluble crystalline structure which blocks the pores, capillary tracts and micro-cracks within the mortar and permanently seals the coating against the penetration of water from any direction thus reducing corrosion risk to the structure. This durability performance helps protect the steel reinforcement and concrete from all types of corrosion. Xypex crystalline technology in the coating provides self-healing properties for static micro-cracks up to 0.4mm wide. Xypex Megamix I is manufactured in Australia and is available across Australia and New Zealand. Independent testing supports all aspects of its performance.
