About
The Environmental Factor (TEF) is an environmental consultancy based in the Central Tablelands of NSW. We are passionate about helping guide our clients through the planning, legal and agency stakeholder approval process by building a practical framework from which projects can evolve and thrive. Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) is our aim.
TEF is well versed in the requirements of State and Commonwealth environmental legislation, and have applied our experience to a diverse range of projects from ecological monitoring, infrastructure projects (road, water, rail, mining), to urban development (subdivisions and rezoning), in order to define the constraints and opportunities inherent within any proposal. TEF consistently delivers outcomes with integrity and rigour to satisfy regulatory bodies and achieve positive environmental outcomes.
TEF prides itself on best practice science communication – communicating clearly, simply and effectively with our clients and their key stakeholders. We understand, through our work with both government and private enterprises, that the legislative process can be daunting and time consuming. We work within this system every day, and understand how to chart a course for each project that will see it completed without unsustainable environmental or stakeholder impacts, to allow rapid project establishment and smooth ongoing operation in the community.
“As a biological scientist, I recognise the inherent value and importance of the natural resources that sustain us and our modern world. I see the way we interact with our environment through the work we do every day. And, having been involved in major engineering projects in recent years, alongside clients and colleagues that are invested in long-term outcomes for their communities, I wanted to connect the team at TEF with the broader sustainability community – to both deepen and broaden our knowledge of ways to incorporate sustainability measures into projects of any scale, and to have the power of an organised community of sustainability experts to back and encourage us in delivering these outcomes for our clients.”
