ARTC’s Inland Rail project has partnered with The Ecoefficiency Group (TEG) to launch a web-based series to assist small to medium businesses implement an effective sustainability policy.
Description
Inland Rail is a 1700km freight rail project between Melbourne and Brisbane that will better connect producers to markets, creating new opportunities for businesses, industries and regional communities. Through its Skills Academy, Inland Rail facilitates training and education to increase the number of skilled locals eligible for employment on the project and in associated regional industries. A cornerstone of the Academy is providing opportunities to build capacity and supply chain readiness to meet the requirements of major projects.
The Ecoefficiency Group has been supporting individual businesses, industry and government to implement practices that reduce their costs and embed sustainability within their operations for over 20 years. Their aim is to help industry profit from better environmental management. They help businesses identify and implement environmentally sustainable practices both for individual production processes and across supply chains.
Course content
The three-part Business Sustainability webinar series is available free of charge on the Inland Rail website and provides clear instructions businesses can follow to improve their sustainable business credentials and prepare the documentation required for the IS v1.2 Technical Manual.

- Webinar #3 – Demonstrating sustainability credentials in tender submissions
