The Policy and Advocacy Committee supports the ISC’s work to influence policy and regulatory settings that shape infrastructure outcomes across Australia and New Zealand.
What the Committee is working on in 2026
- Identifying the implications of current global shocks and geopolitical instability for the infrastructure sector
- Examining the role of decarbonisation in improving infrastructure resilience and reducing exposure to future risks
- Investigating how circular economy approaches can strengthen material security and support local supply chains
- Developing practical, industry-led recommendations for governments and agencies.
Current Progress
The Committee has defined its scope and priority topics, with work now underway on an industry-focused report examining how governments in Australia and New Zealand can better equip infrastructure to manage global shocks through sustainability, including decarbonisation and circularity. Member expertise is helping shape practical recommendations across a range of areas captured in the report.
