Nature and Finance Micro-Credential

The Nature & Financial Micro-Credential, in collaboration with AECOM, is here to help infrastructure professionals lead the way towards more nature-positive practices. This micro-credential consists of four interconnected parts, guiding you from understanding nature-related risks and opportunities to practical ways to incorporate nature-based solutions into planning, delivery, and investment.

Explain the relevance of nature-related risks and opportunities in an infrastructure context.

Apply and elevate Nature-based Solutions (NbS) within projects.

Engage cross-functional teams to shift culture toward nature-positive practices.

Apply the TNFD framework to identify, assess, and manage nature impacts.

Understand how data and insights from IS Ratings can inform ESG reporting, such as TNFD.

Course structure

Microskill

A short video introducing Natural Capital, Nature-Based Solutions and Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). Duration: 6-8 minutes

eLearning

A self-paced module exploring key drivers for action, TNFD, nature-based solutions, barriers to uptake, and alignment between TNFD and the IS Rating Scheme. Duration: 60-90 minutes

Masterclass

A live online session, featuring expert facilitation, knowledge sharing, practical case studies, and interactive discussions. Duration: 4 hours

Capstone Project (Optional)

An applied learning activity that enables participants to develop solutions to real-world challenges using the knowledge and skills gained throughout the pathway. All participants will commence the Capstone Project during the Masterclass, and those wishing to further deepen their skills can present their work to an SME panel (end of May), and receive personalised feedback.

Digital Credential
