About

Our Hi Vis Safety Vests are designed and crafted in Melbourne. Beyond functionality, these vests represent our dedication to ethical practices, ensuring that all workers involved receive fair wages. By combining local craftsmanship, ethical labor practices, and recycled materials, our Hi Vis Safety Vests not only prioritise safety but also reflect our commitment to community, ethics, and environmental consciousness.

Sustainability Outcomes

Assembled Threads facilitates a circular economy by promoting conscious product design prioritising recycled and local natural materials, and providing access to a circular take back program where products can be repaired, re-used, re manufactured and disposed of correctly.

Rso-4 (IS v2.1 / IS v2.2) Assembled Threads’ hi-vis vests are ethically and sustainably produced, combining environmental responsibility with social impact. Our Melbourne-made garments utilise recycled fibres, along with recycled silver safety tape and zips, preventing approximately 168 kg of textile waste from entering landfill for every 1,000 vests produced. All materials are GRS certified, ensuring verified recycled content and responsible supply chain practices. To date, we have produced over 9,000 safety vests, generating more than 3,800 hours of meaningful employment for our skilled refugee and migrant team. This work supports financial stability, empowers individuals to support their families, and helps achieve significant life milestones, including home ownership. By manufacturing locally and sourcing recycled materials, our vests produce 30% fewer carbon emissions, equating to a saving of approximately 315 kg of CO₂ per 1,000 vests. Our Circularity Program further extends the lifecycle of garments through repair, recycling, and redistribution initiatives. This approach diverts textiles from landfill and reduces emissions, saving approximately 270 kg of CO₂ for every 100 kg of garments recovered—demonstrating our commitment to closing the loop. Proudly Melbourne-made and ECA accredited, our operations are independently audited each year to ensure compliance with ethical standards. We are committed to fair wages, safe working conditions, and full transparency across our supply chain.
