SeaLink Marine & Tourism is a leading Australian marine transport and tourism operator, delivering essential passenger and freight services alongside premium travel experiences across Australia. With a strong track record of industry-leading performance, the organisation has established itself as a market leader through a commitment to operational excellence, safety and customer experience.
For more than 35 years, the organisation has operated the Kangaroo Island Ferry Service, maintaining a vital connection between the South Australian mainland and Kangaroo Island. This service is integral to the island’s accessibility, enabling travel for residents, businesses and visitors while supporting tourism and the regional economy. Following a competitive tender process, SeaLink was reappointed by the South Australian Government in December 2021 to continue delivering this essential service.
SeaLink continues to invest in the future of the Kangaroo Island Ferry Service through the introduction of two new state-of-the-art ferries soon. These next-generation vessels will significantly increase capacity and efficiency and offer additional daily departures. The vessels are designed to enhance safety and accessibility, including drive-on and drive-off capability for vehicles, improved loading processes and modern passenger amenities such as upgraded lounges, expanded café facilities, accessible lift access and a dedicated pet lounge.
Designed with the needs of the Kangaroo Island community in mind, the new ferries represent a major milestone in SeaLink’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, reliable and high-quality transport services. Through continued investment and a partnership-led approach, SeaLink aims to strengthen regional resilience and provide an improved experience for passengers, freight operators and the broader community.
Guided by a partnership-led approach, SeaLink Marine & Tourism is committed to delivering safe, reliable and high-quality transport services.
