The IS for Professionals Pathway is designed for infrastructure professionals  who want to confidently apply sustainability in practice.

Ideal for engineers, project managers, designers, and sustainability specialists, the program builds advanced capability to embed the IS Rating Scheme across every stage of project delivery.

The IS for Professionals Pathway experience. What you can expect:

  • Delivered over 5 weeks
  • 10 self-paced modules that build core knowledge around theory,  processes and systems, and 
  • 9 facilitated workshops simulating real-world application
  • Alignment to the IS Rating Technical Manuals and project delivery stages for practical impact
  • Embedded formative assessments to track and strengthen learning

Please note: Weeks 4 & 5 are interchangeable between the Rating lifecycle phases (Planning, D&AB, & Operations)

Frequently Asked Questions

The IS for Professionals Pathway is applicable to all IS Rating Tools and versions (v1.2, v2.1 & v2.2)  During weeks 1, 2 & 3, participants gain skills and knowledge that can be applied across all lifecycle stages and rating versions. The advertised course dives into IS v2.2 Design and As Built in weeks 4 & 5. Should you wish to deep dive into a different version or tool, please contact training@iscouncil.org before registering. 

The Pathway is designed for infrastructure professionals including engineers, sustainability specialists, project managers, designers, and anyone seeking to confidently apply the IS Rating Scheme in practice. It builds the capability to embed sustainability across planning, design & as built, and operations. 

The full program requires approximately 22 hours over 5 weeks, including self-paced content, facilitated workshops, and the ISAP exam. 

Yes. The Pathway is intentionally sequenced. Participants must complete all activities in order, as each module builds on the previous. 

Attendance at all workshops is mandatory, and completion of all self-paced modules is required. If a participant misses a session, continued enrolment in the program will be at ISC’s discretion and assessed on a case-by-case basis.
