AECOM are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Sustainability Consultant in Sydney

This is an exciting new role within the organisation that will involve providing technical support for the growing Urban Systems Advisory team in developing the urban development sustainability and infrastructure sustainability service offering.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake technical sustainability investigations to support the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS), building sustainability, SSIM and Green Star Communities service offers. This is likely to include a range of sustainability consulting advice for a variety of projects in the built environment including:
  • Infrastructure such as light and heavy rail, renewable energy plants, district energy plants, highways, tunnels, water treatment plants
  • Precincts and master plans such as growth corridors surrounding major infrastructure development, greenfield cities and towns, urban regeneration and revitalization projects
  • Apply sustainability frameworks to a variety of projects. This is likely to include the ISCA Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating scheme, Transport for NSW Sustainable Design Guidelines (SDGs) and Green Star.
  • Undertaking strategic planning context analysis,
  • Undertaking planning and design review,
  • Developing sustainability plans and strategies for implementation of sustainability initiatives,
  • Facilitating multi-disciplinary workshops and coordinating design development,
  • Establish and maintain/grow strategic partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and passion for environmental or sustainability consulting
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, urban planning or engineering.
  • Experience using sustainability rating tools (IS and Green Star) and hold relevant accredited professional qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation.
