ISCA announces leadership changes

The Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) Board of Directors has appointed Ainsley Simpson as Chief Operating Officer effective of 16 March 2018.

Ainsley comes with exceptional executive management and leadership experience underpinned by a strong science and sustainable resource management technical background.

Speaking today, ISCA Chairman, David Singleton AM, said the Board resolved to appoint Ainsley as part of the change ISCA required “to unlock ISCA’s potential, and to realise the next phase of our evolution.”

“Since joining ISCA two years ago, many of our members will have come to know that Ainsley is a catalyst for collaborative change,” said David.

The ISCA Board would like to thank and farewell Antony Sprigg, who has resigned as CEO of ISCA effective of 16 March 2018. During Antony’s five years with ISCA, the organisation grew from four staff to 15. More than $80b in infrastructure projects became engaged in the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating program across Australia and New Zealand. Both an Operations and International version of the IS tool were developed and soon Version 2.0 of the rating tool will be launched.

“I am proud of the team we have built and fostered here at ISCA and impressed with our infrastructure industry and how it has embraced sustainability and is delivering tangible positive impacts,” said Antony.

“I would like to thank David Singleton and the rest of the Board for the freedom I was provided to lead ISCA and their guidance and support. This is a new chapter for ISCA, and for me personally, one that I am very much looking forward to.”

During this time of transition, Ainsley will be assuming the responsibilities of Acting CEO.

“My priority focus is on ensuring we continue to achieve our goals as an impactful and purpose-driven organisation,” she said.
