Description

IS for Suppliers has been developed alongside industry to assist in closing the gap in IS knowledge and understanding between Suppliers, procurement divisions and the design/build team.
This course will support suppliers and procurers of sustainable products and encourage collaboration throughout the supply chain.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Define key terms and concepts of the IS Rating Scheme
• Describe your impact on IS rating credits
• Assess methods of communicating the value of your products and services to infrastructure projects
• Prepare your organisation for successful engagement with infrastructure projects through the investigation of rising standards

Course content

Through self paced learning, case studies and virtually instructor led sessions this course will cover:

1. The role of sustainable suppliers and procurement in supporting IS delivery.
2. The IS Rating Scheme structure and tools with emphasis on the credits in which suppliers can drive project outcomes.
3. Associating products and services to IS credits and preparing an ISupply listing.
4. Industry trends and standards along with IS rating traction across private and public sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
5. Evidence (and templates) to support sustainability in tender submissions including:

• Sustainability Policy
• Sustainability Plan
• Environmental Product Declarations (EPD’s)

Course structure

• Once registered, you will receive course instructions via email.
• The pre-course learning will be available on IS Learn from your date of registration.
• This will take you approx. 2 hours and is required to ensure all participants can follow the content delivered during the facilitated sessions.
• Attend the two-day facilitated sessions (1 x 4 hour per day).
• Download your IS for Suppliers kit and begin developing IS networks.
• Don't forget to share your IS for Suppliers completion certificate with your network.
