What’s on offer:

We have a newly created opportunity for a Sustainability Lead to join our NSW Construction team. As the Sustainability Lead, you will share your subject matter expertise with our operational leaders and sustainability teams to effectively embed sustainability into project planning and delivery.

Reporting to our Regional Environmental & Sustainability Manager, your day to day will include:

• Implementation of the regional sustainability strategy;
• Establishing processes and providing expertise relating to ISC and other sustainability rating frameworks;
• Training and upskilling key roles within the business in all things sustainability;
• Supporting Pre-Contracts teams with the sustainability components of tenders and other work winning activities;
• Delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement;
• Implementing strategies to improve the sustainability outcomes of subcontractors and suppliers;
• Liaising with Clients and industry bodies, keeping up to date with legislation, industry trends and best practice;
• Sustainability reporting in accordance with a range of industry standards and frameworks;
• Mentoring and developing sustainability professionals.

How you’ll connect to the role:

To be successful in this role you will have a degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering or similar, coupled with experience in civil construction, maintenance, or operations. You will have ISAP accreditation with experience delivering and coaching teams on Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) ratings. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and motivate a range of stakeholders is essential for this role.

This role will be based in our Alexandria office with travel required across NSW, demonstrating visible leadership at our Projects.
